Judy LaMarsh was Canada’s first female federal Liberal cabinet minister. Judy ushered in some of the most progressive legislation in the 1960s and is considered to be one of the most distinguished women in Canadian politics and in our shared history.
In 1984, in honour of this remarkable woman, the Judy LaMarsh Fund was created as a living legacy, in order to build a strong network of men and women who support women candidates and to provide a pool of funds to assist women pursuing public office.
You can contribute to the Judy LaMarsh Fund. Money is still one of the major barriers facing women who would like to run for Parliament. With your help, the Judy LaMarsh Fund will ensure that women have the financial backing and organization they need to run – and win.
And better yet, organize a NWLC or Judy LaMarsh fundraiser in your area.
